Atascocita: The No. 7 state-ranked Lady Eagles (29-3, 12-0) remained unbeaten in District 22-6A play with a pair of victories last week. Atascocita rolled to a 70-30 victory over Pasadena Memorial before holding off Dobie, 39-36 on Friday.
Elyssa Colman, a University of Texas commit, scored her 1,000th point of the season and senior guard De'Aisha "DeDe" Davis had a big week averaging 27 points and eight steals in the wins.
The Humble Wildcats (16-13, 6-6) remained a game behind the fourth and final playoff spot from District 22-6A after splitting a pair of league games last week. Humble bounced back from a 73-62 loss to No. 3 state-ranked Summer Creek with a 73-68 victory over Pasadena on Friday. Jakobe Bradford scored a game-high 23 points in the game with Summer Creek. Robert Williams and James Mason added 12 and 10 points respectively.
The Falcons won a 50-37 battle of District 21-4A unbeatens over Tarkington on Friday. Jacob Harvey poured in 38 points to lead the way for the Falcons, now 25-3 overall and 5-0 in district play. Grey Soileau added eight points and Cody Oliphant was also among the many standouts. Harvey scored 26 points in a 54-35 victory over Splendora earlier in the week. Soileau finished with 14 points.
The Lady Mustangs blanked Pasadena Memorial 8-0 early last week. Emma Ebert scored two goals and Jenna Bodron added a goal and two assists to lead the way. Cadyn Hulse scored a goal and contributed with an assist to help lead the charge. Elle Smith got things started with the match's first goal, and Jenelle Dumais, Haven Noe and Haley Fetterman followed with goals as well.
The Lady Panthers remained unbeaten in district play with a 2-0 blanking of Tomball on Friday. Jacqui Daspit and Emma Yeager scored goals with Marilyn Perri and Yeager providing assists. Kingwood Park turned back New Caney, 6-0, early last week. Daspit and Leah Hoyt each scored a goal and added an assist. Brooke Baldon also scored a goal and both Yeager and Perri contributed with an assist.
The No. 3 state-ranked Bulldogs (27-4, 11-0) tightened their grip on District 22-6A with a pair of league victories last week. Summer Creek extended its district win streak to 27 games with a hard-fought 66-59 victory over Kingwood on Friday. It followed a 73-62 victory over Humble in which Dylan Miles led the way with 17 points. Javon Jackson and Reyce Allen were also among the key contributors with 13 and 12 points respectively.
