Atascocita
Eagles quarterback Brice Matthews threw for 227 yards and five touchdowns in a 70-7 victory over South Houston on Thursday at Turner Stadium. Atascocita is now 4-1 overall and 3-0 in District 22-6A play.

T.J. Thomas rushed for one touchdown and threw for another and the Eagles rolled to a 49-0 lead at halftime. Darius Edmonds and Landon King caught two touchdown passes each while Dylan Robinson and A.J. Bobb added one each.

Quincy Thomas added a rushing touchdown and the Eagles defense held the Trojans to minus-10 yards rushing on 26 carries while the offense piled up 471 total yards.

Huffman Hargrave

 The Lady Falcons opened District 21-4A play last week with consecutive sweeps over Shepherd and Liberty. Chaney Chiasson and Laynee Beam were strong at the net while Kylie Willis set up the offense. Christina Alley and Kenzie Wiggins were also among the standouts along with hitters Hagan Pike, Haven Sampson and Kristin Kruger.

Humble

 Quarterback Dexter Wyble threw for 150 yards and a touchdown in a 21-7 loss to Dobie on Saturday at Turner Stadium. Wyble’s 64-yard touchdown pass to Robert Williams was the Wildcats’ only score.

Kingwood

 Kingwood team tennis captured the district title after rolling to a 19-0 victory over Humble at home Friday. This is the sixth consecutive season that the Mustangs have gone undefeated in district matches.

The playoffs begin on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 14-15.

Kingwood Park

 Panthers quarterback Hudson Dezell threw for 100 yards and a touchdown, and Juan Garcia rushed for three scores in a 69-0 victory over Houston Wisdom on Friday at Turner Stadium.

Mason Boyd and Logan Mackert returned interceptions for touchdowns while Canen Adrian returned a punt for another score and caught a touchdown pass as well. Brandon Acosta and Hayden Bender each added long touchdown runs.

Summer Creek

 Bulldogs quarterback Bryan Bush threw for 163 yards and two touchdowns, and Torrie Curry rushed for another 110 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-6 victory on Thursday at Pasadena.

Andre Holliday and Sam Williams scored on touchdown runs while Drevion Grant and Elijah Bean caught touchdown passes.
