Kasey Duplechin rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns as Kingwood rolled to a 55-14 homecoming game victory over South Houston on Friday in a District 22-6A clash at Turner Stadium.

Duplechin scored on touchdown runs of 35, 10 and 5 yards and the Mustangs, now 2-3 overall and 2-1 in district play, piled up 411 yards of total offense. All three of Duplechin's scoring dashes came in the first half to help Kingwood to a commanding 34-14 lead at halftime. The Mustangs tacked on 1-yard touchdown runs each from Jacob Vanderpool, Chase Dean and Jonathan Mendoza in the second half while the defense shut out the Trojans over the final two quarters.

Dean also hauled in a 17-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Grant Wall, who threw for 197 yards on 12 of 21 completions. Carson Mancuso led all receivers with 123 yards on five pass receptions. Kicker Kaden Wooster added field goals of 40 and 37 yards and tacked on five PAT kicks.

The Mustangs will take a two-game win streak into Pasadena Veterans Memorial Stadium on Friday where they visit Pasadena Memorial for a 7 p.m. District 22-6A game.
