Grant Wall threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another two scores to help lift Kingwood to a 70-6 victory over Sam Rayburn on the road Saturday in a District 22-6A game.
Wall threw touchdown passes of 14, 5 and 55 yards to Kasey Duplechin, Eddie Camps and Jack Dugas respectively as well as running for touchdowns of 11 and 1 yards to lead the Mustangs (1-3, 1-1) to their first victory of the season.
Dury Ayers added touchdown dashes of 74 and 62 yards. Dugas led the receiving corps with 109 yards on four catches while Parker Hemphill added 78 yards on three catches. Kaden Wooster was a perfect 10-for-10 on PAT kicks.
Defensively, Cade Burgess, Grant Mize and Brock Welsh were among the many standouts.
The Mustangs jumped out to a 28-0 lead after one quarter and extended that with two touchdowns in each of the remaining three quarters.
Kingwood looks to keep things rolling when its hosts district foe South Houston at 7 p.m. Friday at Turner Stadium.
