On April 3-4, the Kingwood High School Golf team took home some major wins as well as some nice gold trophies in the District 22-6A Golf Tournament held at Atascocita Country Club. Due to their dominance on the course, both A and B teams for the girls and boys will advance on to the regional tournament.

The aforementioned teams placed first and second in the team events and did just as well in the individual competitions. The girls swept first through fifth position and the boys swept first through fourth and also placed sixth.

The girls who placed in the individual competition in order are: Kaitlyn Charles, Kaetlin Halseth, Rylie Cerney, Libby Singleton and Megan Tragesser.

The boys who placed in the individual competition in order first through fourth and then sixth are: Holden Hamilton, Hayes Hamilton, Ty Nicar, Damon Strydom and Luke Stayton.

The Mustangs will be sending a total of 21 golfers to the regional tournament, including gold medalist Luke Lohman.

The regional tournament will take place over the course of four days. The girls portion will be April 23-24, while the boys portion will be April 25-26 at Eagle Pointe Golf Club in Mount Belvieu.
