Spots are filling up fast for the annual Addishack Charity Golf Tournament, which will take place May 3 at the renowned Tour 18 Golf Course in Humble. Now in its eighth year, Addishack directs 100 percent of all money raised to Addi’s Faith Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to ending childhood cancer.
“We’re so thankful to everyone who has contributed to Addi’s Faith Foundation over the years through the Addishack tournament. We see a lot of the same players year after year and we often hear that Addishack is their favorite tournament,” Addi’s Faith Foundation cofounder Amber Bender said. “Our mission of funding pediatric research and providing relief to families is fueled by events like this one, so not only is it a great day, it’s also for a great cause. Everyone wins.”
Bender helped start the charity in 2008 after losing her daughter, Addison Faith, to cancer. Individuals can register for $150 or $500 for a foursome by visiting AddisFaith.org. Also, there are plenty of sponsorship opportunities available, from $250 to $5,000 with many levels in between. More information can be found at AddisFaith.org. In addition to a round of golf, participants will enjoy a boxed lunch, plenty of cold beverages, a Mexican appetizer buffet – complete with margaritas – and fun contests. After the golf ends, participants will enjoy an awards dinner.
