The Kingwood Lady Mustangs blanked C.E. King by a 5-0 score on Friday to clinch an undefeated District 21-6A season and extend their streak of district championships to 28 consecutive seasons.

Kingwood, 22-1-2 for the year, wrapped up the victory on Senior Night at Turner Stadium with a goal from senior Rachel Guilfoyle.
The senior class includes Abbie Anderson, Alexa Nangle, Alison Kim, Ashlin Penn, Bailey Herring, Carly Stroud, Elisabeth Perry, Katie Rook, McKenzie Borchers and Rachel Guilfoyle.
Junior Colleen Feagins scored a goal and added an assist to help lead the way.
Emma Ebert, Jade Talsma and Lily Van Meter also scored goals in the win, while Alex Dumais provided an assist along the way.
Ranked No. 7 in the state in the latest Texas Girls Coaches Association Soccer Poll, the Lady Mustangs rolled through the district with a 13-0-1 record, challenged only by neighboring rivals Atascocita, ranked No. 10 in the state.
Kingwood won the first meeting between the two district foes by a 1-0 score, handing the Lady Eagles their only loss of the season. The two teams played to a 2-2 draw in their most recent encounter.
Kingwood opens postseason play later this week with a bi-district playoff match against the District 22-6A fourth-place finisher. Pasadena Memorial, 11-7-4 overall and 7-5-2 in district play, finished fourth in District 22-6A.
