The Kingwood Green soccer team ended pre-season scrimmages without a loss. They will precede into regular season with a record of 2-0-1, beating Magnolia West freshman 9-1, Atascocita H.S. freshman 1-0 and tying Caney Creek varsity/junior varsity 5-5. They also placed second in the Tomball High School tournament held last weekend, soundly beating Magnolia West Freshmen, Deer Park freshmen, Fort Bend Elkins sophomores and Fort Bend Elkins junior varsity. They lost in the final game 1-0 to a tough Aldine team to place second in the tournament over all. Kingwood Green out-scored their opponents 17 goals for and only six against. The offensive attack was lead soundly by Juan Castillo, who contributed four goals and provided six assists, other leading offensive players were Jared Gillisepie with four goals and two assists and Kyle Trimm with three goals and one assist. Defensively, the team held their opponents to only six goals throughout the tournament. The outstanding defense was provided by Ryan Nolan, Zane Hancock, Matt Durr and Casen Hunger.
