After careful consideration, Golfers Against Cancer (GAC) has elected to hold their 23rd annual dinner and golf tournaments this year Nov. 21-23 at the Clubs of Kingwood.

Over the next several years, in conjunction with the American Athletic Conference (AAC), DNA Studios will provide up to 125 live sporting broadcasts per year for University of  Houston’s Cougar Athletics.

Each year, the Humble ISD Education Foundation hosts a golf tournament that raises funds for the school district’s teachers. The education foundation has recently announced that, despite some challenges taking place, it plans to host this event once again this year. 

Kingwood High School (KHS) recently held a ceremony naming its volleyball court for former head volleyball coach Krista Malmstrom.

Golfers yearning to hit the links following a COVID-19 extended stay at home will discover greens in peak condition when the Moody Gardens Golf Course reopens May 4.

The 2019-20 girls basketball season found some of the area’s top athletes competing at a high level. Here is a list of all-district players from area schools:
Atascocita finished second in District 22-6A with a record of 14-2. The Lady Eagles recorded a 32-6 record overall and advanced to the area round of the playoffs. Elyssa Coleman was named the District 22-6A Most Valuable Player. The District 22-6A Defensive Player of the Year went to Kyleigh McGuire. In addition, both Blake Matthews and Dede Davis earned All-District 22-6A First Team honors. Kori Fenner and Makaylee Duhon were named to the all-district second team.
