Kingwood High School girls ran in a sunny UIL Texas State 6A Cross Country Championship meet Saturday, Nov. 9 in Round Rock. The Mustangs were a part of a 16-team field at Old Settler’s Park that included the top 6A teams and individuals in the state. 

It was standing room only as friends, family and fellow students gathered together Wednesday morning, Nov. 13 at the Bender Performing Arts Center in Humble to watch 30 student-athletes officially sign letters of intent to play with their selected colleges and universities.

The 2019 football season came to an end for the Kingwood Mustangs on Friday. In a Region III-6A Division II bi-district playoff game played at Beaumont Memorial Stadium, it was the West Brook Bruins that proved to have the upper hand in a 55-21 final.

Coming into the 2019 Texas high school football season, the Humble Wildcats hadn’t been to the playoffs in eight years and hadn’t won a Texas high school playoff game in nine.

Humble - Dexter Wyble threw two touchdown passes to Robert Williams and Dontee’ McCrary added a touchdown run to lift Humble to a 24-14 victory over C.E. King in a Region III-6A Division II bi-district playoff game at Turner Stadium.

The Lady Mustangs swept North Shore High School 3-0 in a bi-district playoff match at Atascocita High School, Tuesday, Nov. 5. Senior outside hitter Breanna Burrell and junior middle block Megan Wilson dominated at the net with 13 and 10 kills, respectively.
