Welcome back to Out and About … where you can find out what’s happening in our community! It’s great to be back!  Hugs and a big thank you to my dear friends and wonderful writers who kept you up to date while I was gone: Ms. “Hollywood” D. Light; Carol Sutton; Gwendolyn Condeleo Crawford; Tom Broad; Janet Huberty. “Chez Nous” – French for “our house,” and what a gathering it was for our house, Harkins House, that is, at an elegant wine tasting and dinner hosted by Administaff at Chez Nous Restaurant in Humble. The appetizers alone were a meal!  Wine for the tasting was provided by Dan Pastorini and DP 7 Racing, big time supporters of Harkins House.  Dan couldn’t be there because he was getting ready to race his new Masserati! Faces in the generous crowd included: Bob and Shirley Harkins; Jay and Sally Mincks; Joe and Corinn Price; Stan and Leesa Love; Donnie and Sybil Horn Daniel; Ron and Halene Crossman; Judy Whitehead; Diana Hogan; Norman and Pat Bonnette; James and Jennifer Blunt. Chez Nous’ Scott Simonson told me, “It’s a real honor for Chez Nous to host this event. We appreciate all that Administaff does for the community, and are proud to be associated with Administaff and the great work done by Harkins House.” The spacious Summerwood home of Lisa Bell was the site of her recent marriage to Eddie Miller. The flowers were unbelievably gorgeous, with vivid colors of roses and tropical flowers everywhere, even in the swimming pool, and the cakes were masterpieces.  It goes without saying, although I will, that the bride was exceptionally beautiful and glowing with happiness! Eddie looked quite handsome, even coordinating his tie to the color of Lisa’s fabulous dress. Eddie and Lisa were married by longtime friend, Judge Mike Parrott, Justice of the Peace, Pct. 3. Among those wishing the couple well:  Crosby State Bank CEO Mark Mulloy and wife Carolyn; Weldon and Kim Yancey; Debbie Parrott; Robert and Susan Lunson; Marlece Davis; Bryan and Sherry Childress. Especially happy and wishing their parents well were Eddie and Lisa’s children, Charles and Lauren Bell and Loren and Kimberly Miller. Walden Country Club, David Weekley Homes’ “Waterhaven Night at the Club” was well attended and great fun! Hoping to win the golf cart door prize (but, unfortunately, not!): Ron and Tina DeNoville; Bruce and Dawn Koceja; Todd and Michele Koceja (Bruce’s brother and sister-in-law visiting from Scottsdale); Mark Olsen; Al and Jackie Russell; Gene and Sue Perry; Alice Coellner. July was a busy month for the Kingwood Wine Club group, preparing to celebrate their 15th anniversary in August! There were three separate tastings that featured some great wine and an amazing display of culinary delights. At the home of Cherryl Young it was a Chatom Vineyards Tasting, which included two wines called “She Wines.” The vineyard donates a portion of the profits from “She Wines White” to breast cancer research, and a portion of profits from “She Wines Red” to women’s heart health initiatives. At the home of Howard Pitman, it was an extravaganza of Flora Springs wines. And one of our long time favorite wine gurus, Cal Remsberg, hosted the event at the home of David and Gayla Murphy. I could fill this column with names of those attending one, two or all three of these gatherings, but just to name a few: Paul and Janice Costa; Ted and Diana Price; Joe and MaryAnn Burckhardt; Owen and Mary Ruth Jones; Ed and Peggy Glazier; Christopher and Jill Bagley Curran; Donn McGuire; Rick Starzyk; Al and Patty Howell; Mike Cook; John and Diana Broussard; Tim and Carol Hunt; Richard and Len Leofsky; Paul and Sybil Margaritas; Tim and Andrea Burgess; Travis and Daphne Murphy; Anne Gonzalez; Claude Larose. Friends and family gathered at the beautiful Crosby lakeshore home of Dr. Jim and Diane Loughran to celebrate Ron Denoville’s 76th birthday.  Diane is Ron’s daughter, and in addition to being the beautiful mom of five exceptional children (the youngest of whom is in high school), owns and operates Aesthetique Laser and Medi Spa in Tuscany Village (Walden.)  Jim and Diane’s daughters, Noel and Mary Beth, and sons, Patrick and David, were among those enjoying the festive evening, which included an array of exceptional wines and food that featured everything from Ahi tuna to turkey and pesto to pâtè.’ Yes, Ron blew out all the candles!  Cheering him on were good friends: Stuart and Danielle Graham; Al and Jackie Russell; Mark and Lily Olsen; Bill Bryan; Paul Risch. While Ron attributes his years and good health to a positive attitude, we all know that the tender loving care from his wonderful wife Tina is what makes the difference! Two days after the party, Ron and Tina left for Puerto Vallarta to celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary. Seen Out & About: At Zio’s: Charlie Snider; Chuck Snider; Rich Nickel; John Darst; on the patio at Zammitti’s:  Jim and Dana Lindenau; Jack Roth; Howard Pitman and Cherryl Young; Larry and Deborah Wedekind; at Amedeo’s:  Devon Alexander and Frances Andrews; at Raffa’s: Ronna Hardage; Bob and Sherry Young hosting a birthday party; at J.
