The Big Band will be joined by vocalist Sarah Cole to perform jazzy versions of traditional carols and Christmas classics

The Kingwood Big Band ushers in the holidays with a performance dedicated to Christmas tunes. The band will be accompanied by vocalist Sarah Cole for a performance Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Strawbridge United Methodist Church. Audiences can expect “Snazzy Jazzy” renditions of their favorite holiday tunes. Kingwood Big Band’s “A Snazzy Jazzy Christmas” will cover classics such as “Let It Snow” and “Jingle Bells,” as well as traditional carols like “Good King Wenceslas” and “We Three Kings.”

“I have selected very unique and colorful arrangements for the band to perform,” said Dennis Eichler, band director. “The audience will recognize all of the titles and will be pleasantly surprised at the colorful arrangements.”

Tickets to the 7:30 p.m. concert are $20 for general admission, $15 for senior citizens (age 55-plus) and $5 for students. Tickets are available online or at the door. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.lhmas.org.
