The Village Learning Centers celebrated their annual gala live this year — and boy did they do it in style — Cuban style. The theme for the event was “Havana Nights” and guests and patrons sported the best in “Cuban” wear and enjoyed the sweet sounds of the David Caceres band.
Held on Saturday, Oct. 23 at The Ballroom at Bayou Place on Texas Ave., everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner and a heartwarming presentation honoring Jay and Sally Mincks, longtime supporters of The Village Centers and many other organizations in the Kingwood and surrounding area.
The emcee for the evening was the charming and beautiful Mayra Moreno of KTRK-TV ABC13. She, along with auctioneer Patrick Kelly, created a fun and spirited live auction, raising over $50 thousand at the event.
The Village Gala Committee would like to thank all of the volunteers and sponsors for making this event possible. Volunteers and sponsors are the lifeblood of and a blessing to nonprofit organizations.
