The National Charity League (NCL) Kingwood chapter will celebrate its 35th anniversary with a reunion party Nov. 13 at 12 p.m. at the Lake Houston Brewery. This would be a great time for prospective members to come meet past and present members and see what the chapter is all about.
NCL is a mother and daughter leadership program serving local charities. It is a six-year program that begins the summer after sixth grade. The Kingwood chapter is the original NCL chapter in our area. They are accepting new member applications beginning Oct. 1 through Jan. 15, 2022.

Over the past 35 years, the chapter’s efforts have not only made a significant impact in our community, but have also helped to shape the current and future leaders of our city, state, country and world. The girls have learned how to run diplomatic meetings, work side-by-side with people from all walks of life, as well as create and run events before they even graduate high school. NCL offers the opportunity for mothers and daughters to see the needs of our community and solve problems in unique ways. Whether it’s working at a food bank, being a camp counselor, completing conservation work on Lake Houston, working with special needs or vulnerable populations or spending time at our local shelter, the girls are able to gain leadership skills and see firsthand the needs of our community.

The goal is to have each class, since the chapter’s inception, represented at the event, with as many complete graduating classes as possible. This will be a great time to catch up and reconnect with old friends.

Share this event on social media, email, text and call your friends from your NCL years.
