Starvox Entertainment and Potted Productions announced that Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience – A parody by Dan and Jeff, created by two-time Olivier Award-nominated and BBC actors Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner, returns to the Hobby Center, December 7 – January 2. Potted Potter is perfect for ages six to Dumbledore (who is very old indeed). Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, October 1, 2021 at www.TheHobbyCenter.org.
Potted Potter takes on the ultimate challenge of condensing all seven Harry Potter books (and a real-life game of Quidditch) into 70 hilarious minutes. It includes all your favorite characters, a special appearance from a fire-breathing dragon, endless costumes, jokes, brilliant songs, ridiculous props and a generous helping of Hogwarts magic plus lots of mayhem!
Whether you camped outside a bookstore for three days awaiting the release of the Deathly Hallows, or you don’t know the difference between a Horcrux and a Hufflepuff, the comedy, magic and mayhem of Potted Potter makes for a fun, and funny, visit to the theatre.

Daniel Clarkson (Writer & Co-Creator) According to Wikipedia, Daniel is a “British comedy actor, playwright and director with two Olivier nominations and a Blue Peter Badge.” Graduating from Bretton Hall, Daniel is probably best known for being one half of the comedy double act “Dan and Jeff”, renowned across the globe for their “Potted” stage shows as well as an 18-month residence in the CBBC office as their in-house presenters. With four shows now under his belt (Potted Potter, Potted Pirates, Potted Panto and the latest Potted Sherlock, which Daniel co-wrote with his brother Tom), he has received both audience and critical acclaim, having had sell-out seasons in both London’s West End and New York, and completed several successful international tours. Potted Potter was even translated into Spanish, which Daniel then directed in Mexico City. In 2017 Daniel wrote King Kong (A Comedy) which premiered at the Vaults in London, enjoying a successful 10-week run and three Offie Award nominations, including Best Production. In 2019 The Crown Dual premiered – a comic parody of the Netflix series ‘The Crown’. He feels it’ll be a sure-fire way to fast track his knighthood! Between wizarding and writing, Daniel also appears as Puppet Steve in the anarchic late night comedy chat show Mr. Thing, which has enjoyed sell out runs at both the Edinburgh and Brighton Comedy festivals. Daniel has had regular appearances on BBC, ITV and Channel 4 – writing, performing and directing his unique brand of condensed comedy, and was fortunate enough to spend six months in LA training and working with The Upright Citizens Brigade. He was also in the British soap opera Coronation Street a couple of times (he didn’t know how to fit that in but his mum said “he really should”.) @Daniel_Veronica (tweet him and help his ongoing quest to get more followers than Bieber!)
Jefferson Turner (Writer & Co-Creator) Jeff started working with Dan way back in 2005. Since then, they have written the globally successful Potted Potter, Potted Pirates and Potted Panto together. These shows have collected two Olivier nominations and enjoyed multiple West End runs, Off-Broadway seasons, and international tours between them. Jeff has performed in all these shows, as well as Potted Sherlock, sharing the stage almost constantly with the tall one, for well over 3,000 stage hours. And counting!! They have also been allowed to appear together on TV far more than is sensible too, on shows such as: Blue Peter (BBC), Richard & Judy (C4), The Slammer (BBC) and Big Brother’s Little Brother (C4). Though they are best known in the UK for being the in-house presenters in the CBBC Office (BBC), messing around in Brits’ living rooms from 2008-2010! Jeff trained with Second City when they popped over to London, pre-pandemic, which was awesome. They brought the comedy and Jeff brought the tea. Now, after nearly two years stuck at home; eating & drinking (too much), writing (not enough) and generally being a bit lonely, Jeff is absolutely delighted to be bringing Potted Potter back to audiences, who are hopefully, currently, as hungry for theatre as he is. And cake. One should always be hungry for cake.
