Featuring activities the whole family will enjoy, A Holiday to Remember Ice Skating Event, one of the most well-received events in East Montgomery County and the surrounding communities, will return for a third season at the Valley Ranch Town Center starting Dec. 19.
The third annual ice-skating event is staying in the Valley Ranch Town Center but moving indoors to 22296 Market Place Dr. between Hobby Lobby and Cinemark.
The ice rink is 42% larger than previous years, accommodating up to 160 people at a time. The event is adding four 97-foot-long snow slides, bumper cars, train rides, classic holiday movies, a nine-hole miniature golf course, a classic car show and a holiday market. Preview night for the market is Friday, Dec. 18. All attractions will be ready for the public Saturday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m.
Pricing remains $5 to ice skate, however, $15 “all-access” wristbands will cover ice skating plus all the other attractions. The classic car show, holiday market, movies and A Visit with Santa are free.
The event ends Sunday, Jan. 3. For more information, visit emctx.com.
Pick up your skates at the Skate Shop adjacent to the rink and prepare to glide across the 120-foot by 44-foot rink — more than 5,200 square feet of skating heaven — which is even larger than last year’s rink.

Santa will arrive in a cool, classic car on Saturday, Dec. 19, and will be available every day from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. until Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, when he has to return back home to the North Pole to deliver toys around the world.
Prepare to have a bumping good time when you climb into one of the bumper cars and take it for a spin.
Guests will have the chance to take in the sights and sounds of A Holiday to Remember when they jump aboard the trackless train sponsored by CRG.
Classic Car Show
The holidays are traditionally a time of nostalgia, which makes it a perfect time to honor the classics - like classic cars. Step into the past as you step out into the parking lot to peruse through rows of classic cars and trucks during the Classic Car Show sponsored by Marks Richardson PC and J A Costanza & Associates. There will even be the chance to vote on your favorite car for the people’s choice award.
Challenge your friends on the four-lane snow slides to see who can make it to the bottom the fastest. The snow slides sponsored by the Postel Group will be covered in ice and guests will use a circular plastic sled to slide down the 8-foot slide.
Need to pick up a last-minute holiday gift? The Market Days at A Holiday to Remember Event will have everything you need for that special someone.
