Only 10 days are remaining until the holiday celebrations begin this year at Moody Gardens. Guests can experience the Festival of Lights, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” playing in the 4D Theater, other holiday 3D films, the Arctic Slide and train rides, fireside s’mores, plenty of holiday dining options, and loads of fun. There are several options for great hotel deals and attraction packages, making Holiday in the Gardens a wonderful holiday getaway destination for the family.
Festival of Lights returns in its 19th year to Moody Gardens this holiday season, providing the ideal venue for families to make lasting memories. Guests can explore the 1-mile walking trail decked with two million lights and filled with sound-enhanced lighted and animated displays themed to everyone’s favorite holiday music. Festival of Lights will be open Nov. 21-Jan. 2, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Popular displays include the nutcrackers, a toy factory, 12 Days of Christmas display, a narrated Nativity scene – and of course, plenty of animals. Also, don’t miss Star: The Dancing Tree of Light, a four-story digital Christmas tree.
Guests looking for bargains and fewer visitors can take advantage of Value Days every Sunday-Thursday between Nov. 29-Dec. 17. The best deal is a holiday pass, which includes admission to the Festival of Lights, a 3D and 4D movie and the Arctic Slide, for only $20 on a Value Day and $30 regularly. Festival of Lights and other holiday attractions open at 6 p.m. nightly and close at 10 p.m. on Value Days and 9 p.m. regularly. Moody Gardens’ regular attractions open at 10 a.m. daily.
“We are excited to bring in the holiday joy while taking the necessary precautions for all of our guests to relax and have a safe and enjoyable experience. The outdoor setting offers plenty of room to social distance while exploring the gardens,” said Moody Gardens President and CEO John Zendt. “This year has been challenging and we are grateful to be able to provide families with the opportunity to experience the joy of the season together responsibly.”
