The Summer Creek High School (SCHS) Choir Department is pleased to announce the choir students who earned a highly coveted spot in the TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) Region 33 All-Region Choirs. They competed virtually Oct. 17 and were chosen to represent the region. The Region 33 Choirs usually perform in November but their concert was canceled this year due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Students are chosen annually from the Humble, Spring, Galena Park, Aldine and New Caney school districts. Earning a place in a TMEA Region Choir is a prestigious accomplishment for any singer in the state of Texas. It is also a milestone in a rigorous five-month process for students as they compete to be in the TMEA All-State Choir.
The following SCHS students were chosen to be in the Region 33 Choir. Students marked with an * will also be competing in the next round of All-State Auditions (Pre-Area) Nov. 28.
