The public is invited to bring out the family for three days of fall fun at Balmoral's Oktoberfest, held at Balmoral Crystal Clear Lagoon and Beach Club, 15808 Crystal Terrace Drive, Humble.
Schedule is as follows:
-Friday, Oct. 23, 11, a.m.-6 p.m. Lagoon access and swimming for all.
6-10 p.m. Adults only, ages 21+ party at the Biergarten. Evening admission includes German-inspired food and beverages from 6-7 p.m.
-Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 24-25, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Families are invited back all weekend for more German-inspired fun, including food and drink by the Blue Lagoon Bar & Grill, live music, swimming and more.

Visit Jesse H. Jones Park and Nature Center, 20634 Kenswick Drive, Humble, Saturday, Oct. 24, and get a firsthand look at creepy, crawly critters, including snakes, turtles, lizards and spiders, and night hikes. Brave visitors will have an opportunity to touch or hold some of the critters, and park staff and volunteers will answer questions. Costumes are encouraged. Registered children under 12 will receive a Halloween treat bag. Face coverings are required inside the Nature Center and recommended for younger guests for all indoor activities. Reservations are required by calling 281-446-8588 now. Time slots are: 9:30 a.m.-noon and 1:30-4 p.m. Multiple reservations are available within each time slot. Atascocita United Methodist Church, 19325 Pinehurst Trail Drive, Humble, will host a free, socially distanced event Sunday, Oct. 25, from 3-5 p.m. Participants are invited to walk the prayer trail and hunt for treats at stops along the way. Children (AKA “Treaters”) and their guardians are invited to spend the evening going from trunk to trunk, collecting candy from vehicle owners who have decorated their themed vehicles to serve as the backdrop for this family-friendly event. The Atascocita High School Marine Corps JROTC will creatively hold its 7th annual 5K Zombie Run virtually Saturday, Oct. 31.
