Get ready to rock ‘n’ roll at the civic center on the afternoon of Thursday, Feb. 22! Harris County Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program invites everyone 50 years of age and better to enjoy the magical music of the ‘50s and ‘60s during the Shake, Rattle & Roll Winter Concert at 1:30 p.m. at the Humble Civic Center.
Winners of the largest doo-wop contest ever held in Las Vegas, Shake Rattle & Roll is an all-female show group from East Texas that boasts impressive vocal harmonies, synchronized moves, hula hooping and comedy. Sisters Tavie and LeAnn, along with Brenda and Sissy, recently welcomed a new addition, Debi, to round out their cute quintet.
These ladies will make you stop, drop and roll with laughter as they take you with them on the ride of their lives with their toe-tappin’, twistin’ mix of rock and roll and comedy. Lose yourself in an unforgettable afternoon of great music and comedy that will take you back to a time of innocence.
The group has performed with famous impersonators Sting Ray Anthony (Richie Vallens), Kenny James (Buddy Holly) and Donny Edwards (Elvis Presley), and entertainers Jimmy Clanton and The Coasters. They have also been featured on The Country Comedy Tour.
Enjoy famous favorites such as “Be My Baby,” “Duke of Earl,” “Wooly Bully,” “Rock Around the Clock,” and “Great Balls of Fire.” The lovely ladies also perform patriotic and Christmas songs.
