Ruby is a 10-year-old red tri Australian Shepherd. Mark and Lesley Nickelson saw a Facebook post back in 2013 with Ruby up for adoption and knew she needed to be part of their family. With such a calm and friendly demeanor, Mark and Lesley decided other people should get a chance to meet Ruby, so they enrolled her in classes and had her certified as a therapy dog. Until last year, Ruby visited nursing homes and libraries. Nowadays, you can find Ruby on the greenbelt trails in Kingwood walking with her sister, Sansa.
