Leather and cowboy hats were in abundance as guests of “The Club Goes Country” two stepped the night away to the amazing Whiskey River Band. A few of the “fringe gang” were George and Johanna Nixon, Bobby and Lana Garcia, John and Michelle Sorrentino, Chad and Devon Alexander, Brent and Nan Johnston, Reilly and Tracie Mieth, Jerry and Mary Rose Lebus, Jack and Annette Wood, Nicholas and Emily Stander, Guy and Judy Williams, Rusty and Laura Rivet, Josh and Jill Morrison, Kurtz and Katie Stowers, Darryal and Connie Chandler and General Manager Patrick Pettit to name a few in the packed house. “Cutting the rug” with some line dancing were Laura Casey, Maggie McKay, Anne Viault, Eileen Booher and Cheryl Austin. Shannon Wacker looked awesome in a black hat with roses and was accompanied by her steady — Brandon Tidwell. Tracy Willeford was there of course, supporting her hubby and band member Mike. I heard one or two ladies, who shall remain nameless, stole the show on the dance floor. Did anyone else see Jillian Johnson, Kelly Paull and Katie Stowers riding that mechanical bull? Also spotted were Peter Mantel, Tony Austin, David Prator, Jim Becknell, Diane and Gary Green, Chris Parker in her white fur vest, Jimmy Davis, and Rachel Harlin in a glamorous fringed dress. I even spied the “Man in Black,” David Harper with a new lady on his arm. Kudos to Linda Prator and her social committee for pulling off a great event.
Greater East Montgomery County Chamber’s monthly Thirsty Thursday was held at Amedeo’s, and Tony Raffa and his staff were excellent hosts. Of course, Tony provided a scrumptious spread! This month’s presenting sponsor was Porter Insurance. A few of the networkers I saw were Bob Robertson, Bill Hildebrandt, David McGuffin, Cameron Hayes, Pam Dickson, Janet Sisler, Elisabeth Chandler, Myra Bruns, Connie Chandler, Janet Huberty, Lisa Turner, David Harris, Scott Chandler, Lagala Doran and Ross Davis. There were several new faces at the gathering as well. I heard that many more showed up after I left to go on to the next event!
Speaking of the “next event,” Partnership Lake Houston’s Networking After Hours was held at the Kelsey Seybold Kingwood Clinic. This event was planned and postponed several times due to the pandemic, so everyone was delighted to finally make it happen! Job well done, Sherneka Cagle and Blake Kelly! Service Master was presenting sponsor, so Stan Hollibaugh served as emcee. It was lovely to see familiar faces there, like Nikki Roux, Erica Johnston, Allison McCrady, Tim Baker, Chris Johnsen, Will Bond and Darryal Chandler.
