Deputies with Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s office arrested two suspected drunk drivers Nov. 21. One of the drivers, identified as Bryce Nichols, was stopped for a traffic violation on 2300 FM 1960 East in Humble. The other driver, identified as Denzel Alexander, was stopped for a traffic violation in the 9500 block of Grant Road. Both suspects displayed signs of intoxication and so standardized field sobriety tests were administered. It was determined that both were driving while intoxicated.
Further investigation revealed that this was Nichols’ second driving while intoxicated offense. While being transported to jail, Nichols spat on the female deputy several times.
During a search of Alexander’s vehicle, he was found to be in possession of buspirone hydrochloride without a prescription.
Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with driving while intoxicated. Nichols was also charged with harassment of a public servant. He received no bond for driving while intoxicated 2nd offense in County Court 01 and a $5,000 bond for harassment of a public servant. Alexander was additionally charged with possession of a dangerous drug. His total bond was set at $200 in County Court 05.
