An off-duty College Station firefighter had assisted in evacuating the occupants from the home and closed all of the doors. The fire was starting to spread to a nearby exposure and crews worked to protect it. They knocked down the fire in the garage and proceeded to extinguish fire in the home on the first floor, second floor and attic. Crews ventilated the home and conducted property conservation on the first floor. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
