Rehak has been a Kingwood resident for 33 years and had two children who attended Bear Branch Elementary, Kingwood Middle and Kingwood High. He owned a local business, Rehak Creative Services, for 22 years, and retired from that business last year. He is looking for a significant way to give back to the community he loves.

“I have seen how inspiring teachers can affect the trajectory of a child’s life, and I want to make sure that we continue to attract those teachers to Humble ISD,” said Rehak. When asked why he chose to run for Position 1, Rehak stated, “I had to choose one of the positions, and I chose #1 because I like #1. I know nothing about Robert Sitton; I’m sure he’s a great guy, but this is the position I chose to run for.”

This list is exceptionally diverse, but they cluster into four main categories: Parent Concerns about the Board, Teacher's Concerns, Educational Disparities, and Costs/Taxes/Money. Read the specific ideas that comprise each category and how they were grouped.
This is not statistically projectable; the base is to small and the collection is not random because people self-selected. However, it is directional.

1) Helping Compaq introduce its first PC and become a world leader. They had the best first-year sales in American business history; became the fastest growing computer company in the world; and reached the Fortune 500 faster than any other company in history. Their growth also brought tens of thousands of jobs to Houston.

2) Helping EDS grow from $4 billion to more than $20 billion in revenues.

3) Influencing environmental marketing and advertising in America and Japan.

4) Developing a new, more efficient model for the creation and production of advertising, and seeing it validated by RCS’ growth. RCS ranked among the top 10 ad agencies in Houston for most of its 22 years.


Founding Sponsor, All Earth Ecobot Challenge. With other Houston business leaders, helped conceive, develop and fund a free, statewide robotics competition designed to teach complex problem solving and critical thinking skills to students in grades 4-8 while elevating their confidence in their ability for formulate innovative solutions to real world problems. President, Kingwood Superneighborhood Council.  The Superneighborhood Council is an initiative of the Houston Mayor’s Office, designed to improve communication between citizens, neighborhoods, community groups and the City. The Kingwood Superneighborhood Council represented the interests Kingwood’s homeowner and commercial associations, two chambers of commerce, the Humble Independent School District, the Lone Star College District, and the Kingwood Service Association.

1) Redevelop Kingwood’s entries after TxDOT completed reconstruction of U.S. Highway 59

2) Set up a steward system for Kingwood parks to improve maintenance, shorten the break/fix cycle and identify needed improvements

3) Develop most of the trails, boardwalks and other amenities in East End Park

4) Rationalize maintenance contracts for all KSA parks, saving the community more than $100,000 per year while actually improving maintenance.

Married to Dr. Susan Davy, a pathologist, for 42 years. Two children, Kevin and Kate, who went through Humble ISD schools from K through 12, and then went on to earn advanced degrees in college. Kevin helped KHS win state cross country championship in 1998. Grandson Dominic born in 2016. Have lived in Kingwood since 1985.
