Humble ISD looks forward to resuming classes, both for on-campus and online students, on Monday, February 22, 2021.

District maintenance staff have been checking every facility and are happy to share that power has been restored and Humble ISD schools fared well in the winter storm. With more than 40 schools across the district, there were no damages that will prevent classes from being held on Monday. Most damages were minor. Three schools-- Humble High School, Atascocita Middle School, and Deerwood Elementary School -- took on some water inside a portion of the building. These schools already have plans in place to temporarily relocate classes to other parts of the building, if necessary, and repairs have begun. There was also interior water damage in a portion of the Board, Business and Technology Center, which houses the Board Room and offices.

The district is prepared to provide bottled water, keep restrooms operational, and serve specially-planned menus at any school in a community with a boil water notice in effect on Monday.  Most Humble ISD schools are not in areas affected by boil water notices, and the number of communities with boil water notices continues to decline as progress is made.

This is an evolving situation and each school will email parents and staff the latest school-specific updates on Saturday evening.

Our thanks to maintenance staff, custodians, child nutrition staff, technology staff, as well as the Humble ISD Police Department, for their continuous work checking facilities, making repairs, and restoring supplies. We are excited to welcome students and staff back to school!
