The Class of 2021 of the National Charity League Kings Trails Chapter recently completed their senior project in support of the K-9 Airlift Rescue Barn in Huffman.

The rescue barn is a 501(c)(3) rescue and sanctuary for horses, donkeys, pigs and chickens as well as other animals.

The girls organized a supply drive in partnership with the Kings Trails Chapter and the Kingwood Fillies. Chicken-nesting boxes were constructed by the Kingwood High School construction technology class taught by Shellie Dick. The girls then painted the boxes to create a cheerful atmosphere at the barn. The project culminated in a workday where the girls and their moms fed the animals, collected and cleaned eggs, washed saddles, and did other barn chores.
