On June 15, 2018, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 11500 block of Will Clayton Parkway. During the course of the traffic stop, another vehicle struck one of the patrol vehicles on scene. Constable Deputies quickly rendered aid to the driver.
The driver was identified as Jose Morales who displayed several signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety tests were administered and a sample of his breath was obtained which revealed he was nearly 3 times the legal limit.
“Jose Morales was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated. His bond is set at $2,000.00 out of County Court 002. Luckily our deputy was out of his patrol vehicle when it was struck and no one was injured.” – Constable Mark Herman
