Hickman greets returning Wounded Warriors

The first wave of Wounded Warriors arrived in Houston May 17. Three busloads of soldiers from the U.S. Marines and Army who have been injured in combat arrived at Bush Intercontinental Airport ready to start the Wounded Warrior Weekend Fishing Tournament trip to Port O’Conner. They are currently receiving medical treatment at Fort Drum, N.Y., Fort Lejuene, N.C., and Salt Lake City, Utah. During a special welcome dinner, the Warrior Weekend organization along with the soldiers acknowledged and presented Precinct 4 Constable Ron Hickman with a special red, white and blue U.S. flag guitar signed by each of the injured service men and women present as recognition of his years of service to the organization.
