ANYTHING TO SAY?

Dear Editor:

WHY can’t Joe Biden speak without his teleprompters? WHY won’t he take questions from reporters? WHY doesn’t he hold town hall meetings and answer questions from a cross section of voters? We the people want to see and hear him say (not what others write for him!) what his plans are for growing the economy, easing racial tensions, restoring law and order, foreign relations, etc.? Is the DNC’s strategy to run out the clock and keep Biden under wraps until Nov. 3? And Biden wants to be our next POTUS???

ADD AN OPTION

 Dear Editor:

I had the opportunity recently to renew my vehicle registration online. During the process, I was presented with the option of supporting several charitable causes such as the Special Olympics and to end homelessness. Once again, the option. I would like to propose that the funding of Planned Parenthood would occur in the same manner at the state level. There are multiplied millions of taxpayers that are in total opposition of funding abortions (i.e., death for convenience) and would like to opt-out of funding it. It is time that our neophyte Congressional representatives stop playing it safe for the sake of getting reelected and step up and defend the weakest of us.

A “BROKEN RECORD”

 Dear Editor:

Well, I tried. As President Reagan told President Carter in one of their debates: “There you go again.” Just another anti-Trump letter from Bill Bailey. I did not see any defense of the following: socialism; tax the rich more; open borders; free Medicare/college; Green New Deal; elimination of fossil fuel; riots and looting/BLM (and now publicly harassing innocent people); defund the police; late term/partial birth abortion; states’ role in COVID, particularly New York, New Jersey and Michigan; and Jim Crow Laws. The above is what the Democratic Party stands for and/or has defended. This is what a Harris/Biden administration will attempt to enact. Once again, I ask anyone to defend and explain the above positions.

ANOTHER THING

Dear Editor:

As president, Donald Trump receives these items: a taxable salary of $400,000 a year; a $50,000 nontaxable annual expense account; a $100,000 nontaxable travel account; $19,000 for entertainment; free transportation in the presidential limousine, Marine One and Air Force One; and free furnished housing in the White House. The first family receives $100,000 to redecorate the White House to feel more at home and free health care from the official physician who directs the White House Medical Unit. Trump also has business interests beyond his presidency. Per Wikipedia, “The Trump Organization ... has or has had interests in real estate development, investing, brokerage, sales and marketing, and property management. Trump Organization entities own, operate, invest in and develop residential real estate, hotels, resorts, residential towers, and golf courses in various countries. They also operate or have operated in construction, hospitality, casinos, entertainment, book and magazine publishing, broadcast media, model management, retail, financial services, food and beverages, business education, online travel, commercial and private aviation, and beauty pageants. Trump Organization entities also own the New York television production company that produced the reality television franchise ‘The Apprentice.’ Retail operations include or have included fashion apparel, jewelry and accessories, books, home furnishings, lighting products, bath textiles and accessories, bedding, home fragrance products, small leather goods, vodka, wine, barware, steaks, chocolate bars and bottled spring water.” The New York Times (9-28-2020) reports that Trump paid $750 in income tax in 2016, $750 in 2017, and zero in 10 of the past 15 years! Now I know what Trump meant when he called himself a genius—he’s a genius at avoiding income tax [let others (aka “suckers”) pay for national defense!].
