Houston, TX - Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin would like to make Kingwood residents aware that Inframark is still in the process of flushing the water lines following the water main repair that was completed early Monday morning.

As a result of the water main repair, residents and businesses have experienced water discoloration as Inframark is working to flush the lines in the area as well as conducting pressure testing. Crews have done their best to contain the discolored water to the water mains, however, due to higher than normal demand with more people being home, the water was pushed further into the system than anticipated. This is the reason why some residents are still experiencing water discoloration today. Please note, there are no water quality issues. The water discoloration is a cosmetic issue not a contaminant issue.

If you are experiencing discolored water please run cold water out of a single faucet for no more than 15 minutes to flush your lines. If this does not work, turn off your faucet and please contact 3-1-1 by calling 713-837-0311 to report and follow up with an email to This email address is being protected from spambots.
