Continental Airlines recently introduced a direct and convenient flight that will connect two major oil partners all year around. The daily flight between Houston and Rio de Janeiro will be the carrier’s first year-round nonstop service to Rio de Janeiro, as well as the only year-round nonstop flight to that city from the central or western United States. “Continental is delighted to receive tentative authority for this route, which links two important energy markets,” said Jeff Smisek, Continental’s president and chief operating officer. Rio de Janeiro is the second largest city in South America with a population that is formulated with a compilation of various ethnic groups. Being on the South Atlantic Coast, it has breath taking views and offers a relaxed beach culture surrounded with some of the worlds most beautiful people. Passengers traveling for business or leisure are extremely delighted with the airline’s decision to introduce this nonstop route. The proposed flight will offer convenient flight connections throughout the U.S, Canada, Europe, Asia and Latin America. Continental says it is responding to the needs of its corporate customers in launching the new Rio nonstop which will bring both major oil markets closer together.
