The community is invited to celebrate 40 years of service to the community with IAH, as well as the 35th anniversary of the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce. The event will take place Saturday, March 28, from noon to 4 p.m. “This will be a great time for the community to come out to IAH to see firsthand some of the exciting things that are happening within the Houston Airport System,” said Roxanne Butler, director of communications for Houston Airport System. The Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce, sponsoring corporations and local organizations will be showcasing their products in the Expo area. There will also be static displays of F-16s, a C-130 aircraft; FedEx Airbus, the Hurricane Hunter, helicopters and antique airplanes form the Lone Star Flight Museum. Guests will be allowed to climb inside many of the aircraft to see the inner workings of the aircraft. All festival activities will take place in the Continental Airlines 777 Hangar, Building E, on Wright Road. Admission is $10 for adults in advance, $15 at the gate. Tickets for children ages 3-12 are $5. The prices include food, beverages and activities.
