Think you missed your chance to start college at Lone Star College-Kingwood this fall? Think again.
Although the traditional 16-week fall semester began Aug. 24, the college offers various class start options starting Oct. 19. The eight-week courses are only available online and fit a wide range of academic goals toward certificates, associate degrees or university transfer. Classes are available via the main campus, LSC-Atascocita Center and LSC-Process Technology Center.
“These classes allow students to complete core requirements faster toward a degree or be core complete before transferring to a four-year university,” said David Baty, vice president of instruction at LSC-Kingwood.
Class start options available through the main campus are biology, EDUC 1300, economics, math, physical education and sociology. Courses offered via the LSC-Atascocita Center are government, history and physical education. Offerings through the LSC-Process Technology Center include algebra, art appreciation, EDUC 1300, English: Composition and Rhetoric, general psychology and government. Again, all courses will be online.
