Registration for May mini-term and summer credit courses at LSC-Kingwood and LSC-Atascocita Center start March 2.

Current and potential students can register for May mini-term and summer 2020 classes at Lone Star College-Kingwood and Lone Star College-Atascocita Center starting March 2.

The May mini-term semester begins May 11, summer I starts June 1, and summer II begins July 9. The registration period will continue through the first day of class. Courses are designed to fit a broad range of academic goals toward certificates, associate degrees or university transfer.

“Courses offered during the May mini-term or over the summer allows students to complete their educational goals in an accelerated pace,” said David Baty, vice president of instruction at LSC-Kingwood. “Students will still receive the same quality of education during these sessions as they would during a regular 16-week semester.”

Available classes at the main campus include accounting, anatomy and physiology, art appreciation, biology, business computer apps, business management, ceramics, chemistry, cosmetology, criminal justice, dance appreciation, digital imaging, drama, drawing, economics, EDUC 1300, EMT, engineering, English, environmental science, ESOL, film appreciation, game testing, geography, geology, government, history, humanities, introduction to computers, introduction to digital media, Japanese, mass communications, math, medical terminology, music, philosophy, physical education, physics, psychology, sociology, Spanish, speech, and TV field production.

Courses offered at LSC-Atascocita Center include arts, biology, EDUC 1300, English, government, history, math, philosophy, physical education, psychology and sociology.

Registration for fall 2020 begins April 9 and classes start Aug. 24. Academic and financial aid advisors are available.
