Lone Star College-Kingwood will host its Spring Transfer Fair for anyone interested in earning a bachelor’s or graduate degree. The free college fair will take place Jan. 27 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Student Conference Center Atrium. Colleges and universities across the state will attend to help people meet their academic goals. This event is open to the community.
“Students can expect to meet with various colleges and universities; see other students preparing to transfer; and meet with a current academic advisor to review their degree plan,” said Nicole Keenan, director of admissions and outreach. “Also, current LSC-Kingwood students will have an opportunity to apply for graduation at this event.”
The list of colleges and universities that will attend this year’s event include Academy of Art University, Baylor University, Bellevue University, Dallas Baptist University, East Texas Baptist University, Hardin-Simmons University, Lamar University, McMurry University, Northwestern State University, Prairie View A&M University, Regent University, Sam Houston State University, Savannah College of Art and Design, Springfield College-Greater Houston, Stephen F. Austin State University, Tarleton State University, Texas A&M University-College Station, Texas A&M University-Commerce, Texas Christian University, Texas State University, Texas Tech University, Texas Woman’s University, University of Houston-Downtown, University of Houston-Victoria Katy, University of the Incarnate Word, University of Saint Thomas, University of South Alabama, University of Tampa, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas at Dallas, and University of Texas at Tyler. The Texas Army National Guard will also be in attendance.
“It is not always feasible to visit a college or university campus; therefore, LSC-Kingwood created this event to assist students in their exploration and transition to their next educational career,” said Erica Cushmore, manager of outreach and recruitment.
