HOUSTON (Aug. 30, 2018) – Think you missed your chance to start college this fall? Think again.
Although the traditional 16-week fall semester at Lone Star College-Kingwood and Lone Star College-Atascocita Center began Aug. 27, the colleges offer a variety of late start classes starting the week of Sept. 7.
Some courses are available through distance learning formats. Courses are designed to fit a wide-range of academic goals toward certificates, associate’s degrees or university transfer. Late start courses offered are art, biology, business computer apps, education, English, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), history, math, music, physical education, nursing, Spanish, and speech.
These classes range from four to 15 weeks in length. Students can register up to the first day of class. Students are encouraged to register as early as possible.
