MaxBowl to host fundraiser for Houston Metro Go Texan Subcommittee

MaxBowl North is making room for an Humble/Kingwood fundraiser set to launch Aug. 14 to promote the education of high-school students through supportive scholarships. The main goal of this venture is to raise money for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, through the Metro Go Texan Subcommittee Rodeo bowling event; the organizers hope the community will come out in support of Humble ISD students. It is the hope of Doug Davidson, manager overseeing the accommodations for the fundraiser, that volunteers for the fundraiser be enthusiastic about bowling for a good cause and bringing good sportsmanship to MaxBowl to create a memorable day for future fundraising events. “This is the first Houston Livestock and Rodeo event that we are going to have here. We are excited about having everyone here at Maxbowl and will hopefully sell the whole house out,” said Davidson. There will be great-tasting snacks for sale at the snack bar such as hamburgers, chicken, fries, nachos, salads, pizza and quesadillas; a mini arcade is also ready for entertainment. Since bowling seems to be a favorite pastime to area residents, future bowling tournaments to raise money for charitable causes are being scheduled to take place at MaxBowl, 2390 Wilson Road. The event will be made up of five-person teams who will bowl three games each. Registration for the event will start at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 14. For more information, contact Davidson at 832-647-7305 or contact the MaxBowl front desk at 281-540-2800.
