The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce will host its first “Stars and Strikes” bowling tournament on July 17 at Max Bowl North bowling center, located at 2390 Wilson Road in Humble. This event is an exciting and entertaining fundraiser for the Lake Houston Chamber of Commerce intended to bring the Humble community together for great summer fun for the whole family. Everyone is welcome to participate. Stephanie Biondolillo, head coordinator for the event, is enthusiastic about the tournament and hopes for the Humble community to get interested in signing up as soon as possible. “It will be a great way to get out of the summer heat and cool off for a great event that will be carrying on for a long time. So get registered now,” she said. All participants need to bring their best bowling game to battle against the other teams for the mystery first prize and the title of best bowler in all of Humble. Admission is $40 per person or $150 for teams of five. Each admission includes: two games, shoe rental, hamburger and hot dog buffet, goody bag, bucket raffle and a 15 percent discount to all active military personnel. This community event will bring an air of energy to Humble’s summer fun and will create social networking opportunities for both chamber members and others. For those who cannot attend this event, the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a 10K/5K run and Wellness Fest on Saturday, Aug. 28, at Kings Harbor, presented by Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital. This festival will have entertainment including live music and many local restaurants will be represented to create a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.
