The Which Wich in Atascocita held a “spread-a-thon” April 2 and made 1,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to donate locally. Most went to the Humble Area Assistance Ministries. The company participates throughout the year in Project PB&J, where customers can buy a PB&J sandwich for $3, and one is donated locally and another globally. The Atascocita location made the most sandwiches out of all 328 locations participating in the April 2 event. Owner Julio Chavez plans to shoot for 1,500 sandwiches next year.
