A "New Member Coffee" will take place at the Kingwood Community Center onTuesday, Feb. 24, 10 a.m. to noon. The "Hi Neighbor Club-Kingwood" welcomes interested women to join their dynamic organization. For those who have just moved to the area, or who are looking for ways to meet new people, or for those who have just retired and have extra time on their hands, this is an opportunity to meet new friends, enjoy social activities and get involved with charities.

With 400 members and many, varied activities, one can get as involved as desired.  Monthly luncheons take place at Raffa's or the Kingwood Country Club and there's plenty of entertainment at these lively functions.  Themes are chosen for each luncheon, and "Mardi Gras" takes place in February.

Current activities in smaller groups include book discussions, antiques, exercise, bridge, bunko, canasta, games, cooking, golf, tennis, lunch dates, movies, theatre, opera, crafts, and wine tasting.  The Heartbeat Bears is a wonderful service group giving Teddy bears to traumatized children and lonely, forgotten adults.

Membership in the club is $20 per year.   Members receive a monthly newsletter and a yearly directory.

The "New Member Coffee"  is a great opportunity for prospective members to learn more about the group.
