Hi Neighbor - Kingwood, is a women's social activity group that welcomes women to join in this successful organization. The group gives to local charities, supports traumatized children with delightful teddy bears, offers a variety of social events, travel opportunities, sports, theatre, games, book clubs, and monthly luncheons. Themes for the luncheons vary. The Jan. 14 meeting will be "Texas Rodeo" and the Feb. 11 luncheon's theme is" Mardi Gras." A "Rock & Roll" party and a "Kentucky Derby" party are upcoming.
Hi Neighbor is a caring and philanthropic organization, which supports many charities. Jackets, coats, sweatshirts, toys, snacks and gift cards were collected from members at a recent luncheon for Mission Northeast. Forty-five gift cards totaling more than $700 was collected for "The Door" of FamilyTime. The silent auction raised more than $3,100, which will be used toward purchasing 2,000 soft, brown Teddy bears for the ill and traumatized children of various hospitals.
Dedicated volunteers handle the massive reservations and tables at the monthly luncheons. In the picture, the team was honored and recognized for their tireless efforts making the luncheons run smoothly.
