The Rotary Club of Kingwood celebrated their 10th Annual Installation of Officers on July 17 at The Veranda. District Governor Nominee Eric Liu made remarks about the power and influence of Rotary both locally and internationally.

Rotarian of the Year, Bruce Wise was acknowledged for winning a $22,000 “Fallen Heroes” BBQ pit honoring the four fallen Houston firefighters, and donated it in the name of Kingwood Rotary Club to Rotary Firefighters Home in the Texas Medical Center. Ashley Earhart, Kingwood High School teacher and volleyball coach, received the “Service Above Self” award for her
outstanding community service.

The incoming Officers 2014/2015: President Sandi Nizzi; Secretary Charlie Buscemi Secretary, Treasurer Bruce Wise and Rotary Foundation Chair Tommie Buscemi. All Kingwood Rotarians are united in common values and vision for the future. Service above self.

Installation of 2014-2015 District 5890 Rotex Officers are: Jenna Buscemi and Jonathan Mixon, Rotex Committee Co-Chairs, Laura Knutson, Secretary, Hannah Patterson, Treasure, Lauren Gray, Social Media Outreach Chair, and Jusuf Presheva, Past Committee Co-Chair. ROTEX students are returned Rotary Youth Exchange students who have successfully completed their full year abroad. They are world citizens eager to share their experiences with friends and families.
