On Friday, June 13 Keller Williams Realty Northeast hosted their monthly Concert in the Park. Though a thunderstorm warning resided over the Kingwood community until 7 p.m., not a drop of rain fell and the concert had a great turnout. The Gary-Michael Dahl Band played a mix of Caribbean music, Zydeco and popular songs like Pharrell Williams's "Happy" with a refreshing Caribbean twist. During the breaks, Keller Williams led crowd-pleasing dance slides and line dances. They also handed out foldable fans to the crowd, keeping everyone cool and comfortable. The Keller Williams Kidz Korner hosted more than 40 families through the bounce house, double slide, gaming center and face painting booths. The Kidz Korner is one of the biggest draws to the concert and is frequently packed full of kids having a great time at Concert in the Park. The June concert benefited Mother's Against Cancer and raised $450 for the charity through raffle ticket sales and vendor partnerships. Keller Williams Realty Northeast also filmed and edited a video for the charity. The video accomplished creating more awareness for Mothers Against Cancer, as well as becoming a marketing tool that the organization may use at their discretion. Keller Williams Realty Northeast Concert in the Park is a great family-friendly event and a way for the company to give back to the community, they said. The next Concert in the Park is scheduled for July 11 in Kingwood's Town Center Park. Gary Kyle and The No Standards Band will be the entertainment for the evening. Gary Kyle is a Kingwood native and has had two of his original songs on the Top 25 country music Texas charts. For future concert line-ups, visit KWNortheastHouston.com or facebook.com/KWnortheast.
