Author's reading of 'Hanna's Magic Light' comes to Half Price Books

Local author Edward Castro is presenting his new children's book, "Hanna's Magic Light," through several readings this summer. "Hanna's Magic Light is the first in a three-part series. Castro wrote the series for his daughter, Hanna. He said that the books are non-fiction, based on conversations and games he played with his daughter when teaching her about her soul awareness. "My primary objective is empowering children, said Castro, "My books are spiritual. It's about a child connecting to the divine self, which is love. That's what it's all about. Through the books, Castro said he intends to teach three primary lessons: "When they are afraid, their light will remind them that love is greater than fear. And when they become sad, the light reminds them that they will soon be happy again. And of course, The Golden Rule, for them to be reminded to treat others as they would like to be treated. If we all lived like this, then the world would simply be a better place," Castro said. The series is offered as eBooks, which are available on any Kindle app. The second eBook is due out by September, with the production of physical copies later this year. Castro welcomes the community to the readings, stating that they are to be a simple presentation of what's to come. Through these readings, he wants to gather thoughts from parents and children toward improving what will become a larger series designed to enlighten children to be aware of their own soul. After the basic concepts are explained in the picture book trilogy, Castro plans to expand the line, having Hanna's character experience new adventures while discovering even deeper profound truths of the spirit through the simple games her father presents to her. A reading has been scheduled at Half Price books, 9743 FM 1960 Bypass, July 26 at noon. A reading has also been scheduled at Primrose Lake Houston, 20027 West Lake Houston Parkway, July 16 at 10:30a.m. To learn more, visit the author's site at hannasmagiclight.com.
