The world of cosmetic surgery is no longer limited to celebrities or wealthy socialites.

It can take place quietly, comfortably and promptly in the office of a physician – a physician like Dr. Madaiah Revana. Revana has always been known as Humble, Kingwood and West Lake Houston’s first and leading cardiologist, the go-to physician for anything related to the heart and veins.

He’s now emerging as Lake Houston’s go-to physician for laser hair removal, skin treatment and body contouring and he’s hosting a Valentine’s Day special event, Friday, Feb. 14, 8 a.m.-to noon, at Northeast Houston Vein and Laser Center, 9950 Memorial Blvd., Suite 201B in Humble.

“One of my staff received her national and state certification as a laser technician,” Revana said. “She comes to us with the latest and most up-to-date information about many effective aesthetic treatment options and body contouring.”

Hilda Reyna has worked under the direction of Revana for more than 15 years. She knows his well-earned reputation as an internal medicine physician, cardiologist, vascular specialist and active investigator in numerous cardiovascular clinical trials.

As a certified laser technician, she brings that same meticulous precision to her work in laser hair removal, skin treatment and body contouring.

With her skillful – and certified – eyes and hands, Reyna uses state-of-the-art equipment to provide numerous treatment options – laser hair removal, facials, skin tightening, spider vein removal, pigmented lesion removal, cellulite reduction, body contouring and laser therapy.

The Gentle Max Pro, for example, removes unwanted hair permanently.

“Frankly, it’s the gold standard in laser hair removal,” she said. “I’m amazed at how well it treats all skin types for a number of procedures – unwanted hair, sun and age spots, and facial and leg veins. The treatments sometimes take only a few minutes or it could take an hour. It all depends on what I’m treating and the condition it is in.”

And what kinds of hair can Reyna’s machine laser out of existence forever? The list is endless – lips, chin, cheeks, jawline, sideburns, neck, underarms, face, shoulders, chest. The list goes on and on.

She’s also proficient with the VelaShape III, a remarkable device that uses a combination of technologies – a vacuum, infrared light and bipolar radio frequency that Reyna skillfully uses to deep-heat fat cells and the surrounding tissue.

“I learned that, in clinical trials, some patients lost one whole dress size after treatment,” said Reyna. “The VelaShape III will reduce the appearance of cellulite and the skin will look and feel smoother. The procedure is safe. Frankly, there are no short- or long-term side effects.”

A third piece of technology under her guidance is the Zerona Laser which allows her to target stubborn areas of fat.

“This is the first laser that was developed specifically for body contouring,” she said. “It emulsifies the fatty tissue using cold laser technology. There are no adverse side effects, no downtime and, frankly, the results are better than any other laser on the market.”

Meet Reyna and learn more about the benefits of laser and contouring procedures by attending Revana’s Valentine’s Day Special Event on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.
