NICU Annual Reunion

“Graduates” of Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) are invited to celebrate the 19th anniversary of the NICU, and attend the reunion which will be held Sunday, August 11, 1 – 3 p.m., at the Humble Civic Center. The annual reunion is hosted by Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital and the Northeast Hospital Foundation. It will be held in the Civic Center’s Special Events Room, and will include kid-friendly refreshments, clowns, balloons and more. In addition, NICU “graduates” and their families will be able to visit with neonatologist Angel Munoz, M.D., and the NICU staff. The event is free for NICU babies and their families but registration is required. If your child was cared for at Memorial Hermann Northeast’s NICU, call 713.222.CARE (2273). The Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital Neonatology program was established in August 1994 when Dr. Munoz, the area’s first neonatologist, joined the hospital’s medical staff. Since then, Dr. Munoz has cared for more than four-thousand newborns in the NICU. Harley was one of Memorial Hermann Northeast’s first NICU babies and now, 18 years later, she’s thinking of studying to become a neonatologist or a pediatrician.
