ALL learns about colon health

In recognition of Colorectal Cancer Month in March, members of the Academy for Lifelong Learning at Lone Star College - Kingwood’s New Caney campus- recently heard the latest information about colorectal cancer from Tal Raphaeli, M.D., Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital. Raphaeli is a board certified general surgeon who is fellowship-trained in colon and rectal surgery. During the talk, Raphaeli highlighted the importance of screening for colorectal cancer with the discussion centering on screening guidelines. Among those attending the lecture, from left, were academy manager Pat Chandler, Lee Cage, Raphaeli, Helen Michelini and Sylvia Fulton.
