Kingwood Medical Center’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Melinda Stephenson has named Kevin Manning as the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Kevin has been with HCA since 2003 in various leadership roles. In 2013, he joined the HCA Executive Development program, and the Kingwood Medical Center team in September of 2014 as the Associate Chief Nursing Officer.
Kevin has 20 plus years of extensive knowledge and experience in health care, beginning at Columbia North Monroe Hospital in Louisiana. Kevin has held previous leadership positions including Director of Emergency and Trauma Services and Director of Inpatient Orthopedics at Medical Center of Arlington in Texas. He also served as Assistant Vice President of Emergency Services at Medical Center of Lewisville and Associate Chief Nursing Officer at West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell.
He began his nursing career as a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with an Associate of Nursing Degree. Kevin earned his Bachelor and Masters of Science in Nursing Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington.
Kevin is a resident of Kingwood and is married to Barbara, also an RN. Kevin and Barbara have two sons, Steven and Nathaniel.
Kevin has served as the Interim Chief Nursing Officer since January, 2016. Kevin is a servant leader who is passionate about patient care and advancing the practice of nursing. His ability to build strong relationships has created a partnership between leadership and staff and empowered his team to meet the mission of the organization.
