Happy 25th Birthday to Humble ISD’s Oak Forest Elementary. The school, located at 6500 Kingwood Glen Drive in Atascocita, employs 50 teachers who have been with the school an average of nine years. The teachers average 13 years of experience in teaching. The school currently has 710 students with a student-to-teacher ratio of 14.20/1. Oak Forest Elementary School opened for the 1995-1996 school year. It serves students in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade.The school mascot is a falcon and the school colors are burgundy and gray. The first principal was Joanna Sevier Melton, followed by Dr. Cathy Gabro, Marty Bragg, Henry L. Phipps, Jr., Sharon Wasilewski and Linda Schmidt, who is the current principal.
